MIS r260 -- cartridge not recognized

MIS r260 -- cartridge not recognized

2007-11-02 by Mitch Greenwald

I just purchased a set of MIS carts, refillable, for an r260. I loaded
one (eboni) and put it in. I couldn't print, and the utility showed
all carts (not just the eboni cart) x'd out (not compatible). I put
the original epson back in, no problem.

MIS tech support said to load them all, put them all in. I did. Same
result.

In spite of having signed up several days ago, and been validated, I
don't seem to have posting privileges in the MIS forum.

Seems like the chips (or some of them, or one of them) are NG. But
I've never done this before -- always stuck with originals with my
2200.

Anyone have this experience?

Mitch

It sounds like a chip problem. They just snap on an off. Just have MIS
send chips the work.

MIS has now acknowledged that there's a problem with a batch of chips.
They're sending me some new ones.

Thanks, Paul . .
