what dealer knows paper ?

what dealer knows paper ?

2007-11-22 by djon43

Forget price for a moment...

I just spoke with an "expert" at a big-name online dealer who wasn't
aware product names had changed Vs his website and he had zero
personal familiarity with several of the products he listed. Cheap,
but he didn't earn my order.

What dealer seems to reliably compare papers from experience or from
actually inspecting them, for our B&W inkjet purposes?

I'd like to send my small orders to someone like that.

"X paper is great, we sell a lot of it, but Y paper is less
artificially-textured-looking and I prefer it..."

"Y paper seems whiter-than cream, and the manufacturer says it's not
whitened...and I trust them"

"Z paper seems great in every respect, but Wilhelm has raised a
question..."

John;
I would suggest Jim Doyle at Shades of Paper. He's approachable,
knowledgeable, AND he has great prices. This will probably be just one
of several testimonials.

Best;
