I'm having trouble installing cis on 1270. i pump & the ink does
not go into cartridge. I want feedback from others who have a 1270
AND the cis. boris

boris-

Filling the cart should be no different on the 1270 vs. the 1160, the
important difference will be which brand of CIS... I am assuming you
are using the NoMoreCarts in one of its flavors?

If that is so, the use of the vacuum pump is very clearly outlined in
the paper instructions the come with the kit. I read them a couple of
times and followed them exactly and it went smoothly for me. I have
heard from others who had problems but it seemed that all the issues
were the same...the "pinching" off of the tubes was too far from the
end and an incomplete vacuum let air in. Can this be your issue?

If your clamp is not working or is broken, you can use almost any
clamp type device and bend the tube back to get a perfect seal...the
tubes are very strong and will not be harmed by this single bending
(again, I am speaking about the tubes in the nomorecarts type
cis...others may be different).

Hope this helps,

Thanks to all those who responded to my post regarding my cis that
wouldn't load. The cis is up and running. The problem was with the
filter that attaches to the syringe.
