Digital BW, The Print

Here's a challenge for you. Have anyone written (or seen) any 
curves / workflows I could use to make the Piezo driver work with my 
Epson 1270 (disguised as a 1200), printing MIS VM inks? Follow 
that ...?

I've heard great things about the Piezo driver (i.e. 16-bit 
printing), so I'm doing some experimenting. I can export through my 
(unsupported) 1270 if I tell the Pizeo driver I'm using a 1200. The 
initial 2 prints looked terrible – rather bluish. (Obviously, the 
curves / workflow would have to work with grayscale, since the Piezo 
driver doesn't accept RBG).

Should this setup theoretically work? Is it worth my time (and ink) 
experimenting? I expect the easy answer is to just buy a 1280 or 
other supported printer.
