Digital BW, The Print

I just had a look at Sprint's MSD sheet for its optical brightener  
solution.

The brightener is "proprietary", but some of you may be able to get  
some idea of what it is from the listed breakdown products:

Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, "and other toxic  
compounds".

It has a shelf life, with or without air, of at least two years.  The  
only other ingredients are sodium chloride and water.

Anybody have a guess as to what it might be?
