take it away: Epson 3000+

In Phila PA: lowest offer accepted for Epson 3000+ set of Universal
cleaning carts, unopened set of Epson carts, partly used set of MIS
quadtone carts + 4 unopened 4oz bottles MIS quadtone ink. I have a new
big printer coming and have no room for this good old workhorse.

Note that the Eboni-6, 100% carbon inkset will probably work in that
old machine. It'll be about a month before MIS can get set up for
bulk production. Expect results similar in smoothness to the old
Piezo BW, but much more stable. Print tones are relatively neutral -
cool to warm, depending on paper. For inkset information, see
http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/Eboni-6.pdf

I believe the Premier Art Smooth BW 200 would feed OK in the 3000.

So, if the machine works well, a geographically close purchaser might
be able to have a very good 16 x 20 fine art printer.

MIS ink cartridge question

2008-02-01 by Mike Johnston

Hi,
I just set up an R280 with the inkset from MIS.
Should I remove the yellow tabs? I assume they cover a vent.

Thanks
Mike J.

Yes, remove them tape to let air into the cart as ink is pulled out.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for responding.
ON the cartridges I received there are yellow plastic tabs, not tape.
I removed them and things are working much better.
I have a little banding I need to work on.
