MIS / Inksupply.com problems?

MIS / Inksupply.com problems?

2008-02-09 by t_j_l_s

Has anyone else had problems with orders from inksupply.com lately? I have had the
ordering experience from, well, from heck and while they were initially helpful, they've
basically broken off all contact.

First, one item wasn't available, so they held the whole order -- sending me a notification
by email which said "approximately 2 days" in the text part and "one week" in the HTML
part. Then when I finally got them on the phone over a week later, after leaving a
message on their customer service voicemail which they didn't return, they were slightly
apologetic and shipped the part of the order they had in stock. Which is where the real
odessey begins, since UPS proceeded to lose the package.

Unfortunately, UPS will not initiate a "trace" of a lost package unless the shipper calls and
requests this. And that's where things have been stuck for a week now: I call MIS every
day, get their customer service voicemail, and leave a message asking (at this point
begging) them to call UPS and have my order tracked. They ignore my voicemail, which I
know because I call UPS later in the day to check and the package still hasn't had an
investigation requested. I call back and beg again for MIS to trace the package. They
ignore my voicemail again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Meanwhile, MIS shipped the backordered items and charged my credit card for the full
amount of the order. Leaving me with half a set of inks, all the money in their hands, and
no way to contact them, it seems, nor to find out where the other half of my order is.

I don't want to chargeback the money on my credit card but I don't know what to do. I
would prefer to keep doing business with MIS! Does anyone have any idea what's going on
over there?

Thor -- I've ordered from MIS a few times, and have on occasion noticed
poor coordination between sales/customer service and shipping. I
woujld not bother leaving messages if I were you . . . just get a
salesperson live and go from there.

OTOH, I placed a small order last week and everything was perfect.
Helpful info from the sales person, and everything was delivered
promptly and accurately.
