Hahnemuehle Photo Rag/PiezoBW: dMax

Thanks to samples with 21-step grayscales on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag
supplied by Bernd Langmack, I am thrilled to report the dmax readings of the
100% patch. Both grayscales were printed with the 1160, using Piezo inks:

Orwell profile: 1.69
ConeTech Matte profile: 1.68

In essence this says that they are at the high end of previous Hahnemuehle
papers (Allegretto=Tunbridge was 1.68). These, in turn, are among the
blackest blacks in non-coated, non-glossy, fine art inkjet papers.

Please bear in mind that +-0.01 is the instrument accuracy (X-Rite 810) and
that because this is a "noisy" process, a variation of at least +- 0.02 is
insignificant.
Also, please put this in perspective - not all pictures "depend" on deepest
black and not all digital files have areas of 100% (0) pixel values.

Let's now hope that boat from Germany crosses the pond as quickly as
possible.
