Spyder 3 Profiling Test Targets

Spyder 3 Profiling Test Targets

2008-03-14 by p_bien

Can someone point me in the direction of using the Spyder 3 Print
spectrophotometer to profile black & white test targets. I am using
an Epson R188 with 3 channel MK Eboni black inks and want to establish
curves for 2 select papers that I use (Harmon Matt Baryta, and Epson
Velvet). I cannot figure out how to use the spectrophotometer
manually.
Thanks
Paul

Paul, Look under Tools on the top. You'll need your meter attached.
Calibrate it and then under that selection is measure and that will open up
the spot measure options.

Thanks Eric. Can you recommend a target file for curve generation,
or do you know if QTR has one already set up for curve generation.
I need to go through the QTR documentation for the advanced
procedures.

I'd use the 100 square target in QTR if you're have trouble or just the 21
step to start. Both are in QTR but look in the Eye One folder to find them.
