FWD:Indelible Inks - User Report

FWD:Indelible Inks - User Report

2002-02-06 by SKID Photography

I am forwarding this report from an Indelible Ink user on the 'Ink Options
list', as there have been so many questions about the Indelibles and the desire
to hear from actual users (not people who sell them).

Especially worth noting is the metamerism comment.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing. What head to head is Robert
doing? Would you let us know the results as well?

Lawrence,
I will try to remember to do that, but below was one of Robert's responses to
the Indelible post.

I find the indelible black to be poor on Hahnemuhle papers (including Cone's
Wells River). Its pretty good on EAM. If you are looking for a fine art
archival paper (EAM is NOT)...try Museo from Crane, Eclipse Satine Softwhite
from photoinkjet.com or Merlin or Condor from Hawk Mountain. To my eye
(dmax coming soon) they give much better blacks with this ink set.

[Digital BW] Head to Head comparison

2002-02-06 by Robert G. Morrison

Antonis and I are comparing MIS Perpetuals, Generation 4 and the Indelible
Ink Set on Epson 1270's running CIS. Although we are principally interested
in color printing we will be evaluating the ability to print BW and sepia.
We are evaluating compatibility with various fine art papers, fade,
metamerism, gamat, etc.

Details will be posted on our new group:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/archivalcolor

Personally, I plan to run the winner on a 1270/CIS with ImagePrint.
