A natural fibre based paper similar to Moab Colorado?

A natural fibre based paper similar to Moab Colorado?

2008-03-31 by Richard Smallfield

Hi,
I've just bought some Colorado Satine and love it - although I'd like a version without OBAs (I wonder if Moab will issue a natural version as they do with Entrada?).

What Fibre-Based unbrightened paper is the closest in surface appearance to Colorado?

SIlver Rag's surface texture has been criticised by some; and I haven't found anyone selling samples of that paper yet.

thanks,
Richard

Hello Richard,

It does have a stipple, but it's only visible when you see the glare.
Hold the print so you can look at it (no glare) and the surface is
not visible. This is true of all the fiber gloss papers I've tried.
They all have some sort of unique surface, but without glare it's not
an issue. So...I'm not sure how important this is. Would like to
hear others' thoughts on it.

Clayton
