scanner or not

I have a Nikon 4000, and am very happy with it for vintage 35mm negatives--although far prefer VueScan to the Nikon software (less contrast, better tonal range). But, question, does anyone have a sense of what improvement/advantage there is in the newer 5000 model? Lauri
