Matte or Pearl

Matte or Pearl

2008-05-21 by alankushnir

Last week I spent 4 information packed days at the Stephen Johnson BW
Workshop in Pacifica, CA. I recommend this workshop to people with
intermediate to advanced skills. I picked up lots of useful
information and was able to take my BW efforts to a higher level.

During the workshop, I made lots of BW prints with both a matte paper
( Epson Velvet FA) and pearl paper (Han PR Pearl) . Can I poll the
members of this group as to which general type of paper they favor for
BW? I understand its a personal preference, but I am curious as to
what is being used today by the members of the group: Matte , Pearl,
or Both (depending on the image)
Thanks.

Why don't you create a survey then we can all see results? Create in
groups settings.

Great suggestion. I have searched around for Groups/Settings and can't
find it. Are moderators the only ones that can see or change the
settings? I'm not a moderator. If someone points out where to set up a
poll I'd be happy to take care of it.

That might be true, ask the moderator.

only come up with

ePrint-owner@yahoogroups.com
I've left a message there so we'll see.

Generally the moderator should be moderating the list and will see
your request for contact.

Alan,

Sounds like a very productive 4 days. I wish I had know about it. I live
in Menlo Park/Redwood City and would have enjoyed such a class.

If you would like to meet or chat contact me at paul@...

I am always interested in meeting others.

Regards,

Paul
