C88+ with Eboni 6, pre-diluted now available?

C88+ with Eboni 6, pre-diluted now available?

2008-12-09 by Brad Finch

The subject may say it all. The bottom line is, I'm a little confused. MIS now has 4-oz bottles
for the various color positions. Do I still need to dilute these for the C88+? I want to go to a
variable-density inkset with this printer, instead of the single density Ultratone set.

And if I do need to dilute these, can somebody point me to instructions on how?

Thanks!

I don't know if MIS has the C88 Eboni-6 dilution, but see
http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/C88-C13-5.pdf I have the mix that is
easy to do. One thing to recall with CISs if that is what you're
using, be sure to agitate them, perhaps weekly.

With respect to finding things on MIS, I find using the top option on
their Support>Search page at http://www.inksupply.com/searchpage.cfm
to be the most efficient.

Thanks! Just to be sure I'm clear on this: I would use the same mix of the Eboni-6 (for
example Eboni-6 M and LC mixed 1/1) in each of the four cartridge positions for the C88+?

I'm moving from an R220 with 6-density inks (MIS) and this mono-density concept is
throwing me.

That's what I recommend as the simplest solution. It prints smoothest
when you use a curve (in an ICC) that starts with only one channel and
then adds the others later on. I think I have all this posted in links
from http://www.paulroark.com/BW-Info/C88-C13-5.pdf
