Gary,
Premier Imaging has not shared with me what it is about their coating
that causes it to be so neutral with the Eboni-6 inkset. I look at the
change in the Lab B as the key. It's not just thier bright white that
has the relatively low change in Lab B. The other natural smooth also
has this characteristic, but since it's not brightened, the maximum
warmth is more. With the BW, the brightness of the paper essentially
offsets the increase in the Lab B, resulting in a relatively neutral
print with brightened highlights.
I think the coating comes from a lineage that includes old Brightcube
Eclipse, with Hawk Mtn. Condor and Moab Entrada BW close.
You can, by the way, still obtain Eclipse at

But, for neutral images, the Premier Art Smooth BW is really the
standard for this inkset.
