well, I'm done reading and am no better off than before ;)

I am just going to go to B&H and check out ones that by my beautiful brown eyes will make a decision on - and that will be my BBE calibration system :P

Love to you all,
AnnMarie

PS I am leaning toward a Samsung for the price......

AnnMarie -

For what it's worth, I've got two Samsungs, and they're fine. And reasonably priced.

Me too....two Samsung Synchmaster LCDs, 22 inch for image editing, a 19" one for my palettes. They work quite well. Great bang for the buck.

I know I said this earlier, but I have 16 of the older Samsung 226bw and 5 of the newer 22 inch widescreen syncmasters with the adjustable height, I would definitely use these for image editing after profiling them.
