The term "megapixels" appears to have only slightly more meaning than the "120X" zoom ratios advertised on consumer camcorders. Michael Reichman's excellent site at http://www.luminous-landscape.com/ has a good discussion of this topic. BTW, a 120X television zoom lens costs well over a hundred thousand dollars.
