George DeWolfe Book-The Digital Master Print

There have been postings about George's new book but it seems they mostly focus on the technical aspects. There is an old expression "If you do not hear the music you might think the dancer is crazy." For me, the real music in George's book is not the technical but the ability it has, like a fine poem, to open possibilities for, what he calls personal masterpieces. An underlying current through the book is the opening that George offers us to "look" for ourselves, not to just use his technic. His skillful use of Featured Artists" took me away from any sense of this being a"cookie cutter" method or of his needing to impose "his" method. The greatest contribution of this book might not be Perceptool, although is very useful. To glimpse the major contribution of this work calls for close reading that listens for the life music that nourishes the author. That might be the best "technic" to having a personal masterpiece.
