Digital BW, The Print

I've got a clog-from-hell with my old 2100 and, after several unsuccessful cleaning cycles, then a rest for a couple of days, followed by two more cleaning cycles (the clog has only got worse) I wondered what size image a cleaning cycle on an Epson A3 printer would print with the amount of ink used.

It's probably an impossible question to answer, as different models probably behave differently - but if anyone knows how much printing one is giving up for a cleaning cycle on a 2100, I'd be interested to know, even if that knowledge will only be of academic interest (and rather depressing).

I must say, my experience so far with clogs & my Epson 1280 make me
despair.  Sigh.

What seems to work for me now are using a purge file from MIS coupled with the normal cleaning cycles.  I've also used ?seaming tape? from my wife's sewing supplies to floss the heads.  I pre-soak the tape
with Windex.  But, the purge image seems to do a good jobs, but it
does use a bunch of ink.
