Forum usage

2002-02-15 by Don Rooney

Hi Tom and all

I get these postings as email also. I find it easy to sort the ones containing paper info or ink info or solutions to CIS issues. There is a small ad at the bottom of the email but it does not pop-up or flash (yet!!!). I check in from time to time at DPREVIEW, while its a nice solution, sometimes its very slow and Phil (owner) is spending alot of time tweaking it.
Just my 2 cents

I think we got our requirements settled in the discussion:

* must support email delivery
* must be modern web solution with threading, date view and archives
* must be committed to relatively non-intrusive ads
* must be hosted by an "industrial strength" entity for stability

Until such an opportunity is available, I think we all agree to try
living with Yahoo's deplorable click through ads while we campaign
them to be reasonable and/or keep our eyes open for a better home.

happy trails,

tom

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
