Is this the pizza wheel problem?

(I posted this message on the piezography 3000 forum and got no response, so I'm giving it a try here.) I'm using [Cone] K7 inks in a R2400. I've developed a problem that manifests itself as light lines running parallel to the direction of paper travel. The lines are faint and are visible only in light (as in sky) areas. The spacing is not uniform but is in the range of 0.5" - 0.75" or so. Nozzle check is perfect. I did a auto alignment of the head. (The instructions for a manual alignment are confusing regarding the identification of "bands.") I ran prints in QTR with various papers thicknesses; same problem. I switched to the Epson driver and into ABW mode (of course, the "colors" are off) using Epson EEM paper; same problem. Is this the pizza wheel problem and why did it suddenly emerge? What to do? Any help much appreciated. Harry
