Hi Mike.  Thanks for the link to this info....I'll be reading it over carefully this weekend.  Were you referring to the recent posts on Vuescan & Silverfast RAW scans on the Digital BW Print Exchanges Group?  We had a short discussion there a few days ago......

Hi Mike:

THANKS for this info - I'm going to attempt to use those RAW file scans of
35mm slides in Photomatix, attempting to deal with dynamic range issues in
old slides of Tibet.  Hope it works!
