Epson 1520 Banner Mode and Lubrication points

Hi, I have been having trouble getting the 1520 in to banner mode. I have managed to get the printer into the default settings menu (no mean feat getting this thing to load 4 sheets without a jam or misfeed) but then when I select what I think is the auto cut and banner mode options and restart it tries to load from the auto feeder and ignores paper from the back. Any help greatly appreciated. I have also been trying to find out how to lubricate the printer in an attempt to improve the paper feed problems. I have a copy of the service manual but it not clear where the lubrication points are on the printer. Can anyone help with this ? Regards, Bill
