If I remember correctly, the 2nd edition is mostly an update (plus 
some new stuff) of the 1st edition (currently I only have the 2nd 
edition). I think the second is also a different publisher (wasn't 
the 1st some college press?). Don't know why Vogel's name was 
removed later (or what his specific contribution was for the 
original).

I picked an unused pristine copy (hardbound!) on ebay for $10. 
Luckily it's not as hyped as Strange's book - so nobody else bid on 
it! I've seen it on Amazon too.
