If you replace the 7805 by an 7809 on the A-100AD5 adapter you obtain +9V (or 7808 for +8V). If you plug such a modified A-100AD5 to the A-100 bus board you have +9/+8V available instead of +5V. But pay attention not to connect modules that require +5V (e.g. A-190, A-191, A-113) to a bus board with such a modified A-100AD5. The modules will be destroyed !
