Well... we all know the obvious differences between pure A and VA, but still when I bought my A100 there wasn't even a VA to consider. So I just thought it deserved pointing out cause it takes a hell of a lot of space and money to get a 32 voice or even a 16 voice true modular, but it is almost petty cash for a VA and by now I think they have gone from poor soundquality to marginally inferior. In fact quality isn't the right word for it is more a case of different sound, right Bakis(you can compare)? And there are no glitchy cables in VA =) ----- Original Message ----- From: "synth_freak_2000" <synth_freak_2000@yahoo.com> To: <Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Friday, March 22, 2002 12:23 AM Subject: [Doepfer_a100] Re: Getting modular > hi andreas, > well VA is one thing and real analog is another!i myself have the > nord micromodular and i love it,but if you're willing to give some > money nothing beats a real modular... > about the vco's the a111 is tops as it have linear FM!!!with it you > can do many unusual sounds...i love it!!!also, the a110 sounds > good ,too...(fatter than a111???) > again,i can't compare them to other companies vco's,as i don't have > any... > bakis. > > > > > In Doepfer_a100@y..., "Andreas Lindholm" <andreas.k.lindholm@t...> > wrote: > > Mixing Doepfer is something I have thought quite a bit about, but > still not > > made reality.
