you are right. a mode switch would be ideal. or two differently designed filters for two different purposes in 2 different modules. Personally, in this modern world of modulars i expect an LPF to have a certain amount of character, at least more than a BPF. So i would probably ry and avoid the LPF here, the BPF is more a tool but it should bypass-able in this application--agreed. i think we need very similar or two modules here or a switch.... different filter designs for each would be my pref.
