Hey Guys,
Have you all checked out the "synth secrets" articles currently running in Sound on Sound (www.sospubs.co.uk) they have a lot of stuff based on modulars and the first few articles have been on drums.

  Hi!
I had good results for bass drums by the following way: You need two
ADSR, one VCO and VCA. Select any waveform of the VCO, control the
pitch (cv 1 or 2) by an ADSR (time range:L, all knobs on zero, and
  a
short/middle decay). With the other ADSR you control the VCA (time
range:M, attack and decay: zero, put the decay around 6 and ready is
the bass drum. With different waveforms you have different
overtones... and when you put a distortion between VCO and VCA
  you´ll
have more aggressive sounds. Another possibility is to use two
  VCO´s
  and sync them...
  Bye, Manu.
