I would imagine that 1.5TE (around 7.5MM) wide module would work fine. Just add 2.5mm to one side of the standard 2hp blank module. It would be nice to offer them in pairs since most often they would be used that way (on both sides of a single or group of AS modules). The AS modules are all multiples of 6HP wide which is not a problem but the main difference is the all have their mounting holes 5 mm from the panel edges where the Doepfer ones are 7.5 mm from the edges. This difference leaves the 2.5 mm gap between modules. A panel that is 7.5 mm wide would fill this gap. to some this may be too big of a blank panel to use. Another option may be to just offer a cheap utility module, like a multiples module, in a version that is 2.5 mm wider. of course since using a AS module in a Doepfer system would leave a gap on both sides it would cost more to plug that gap with two multiple modules instead of two blanks. -James On Sep 5, 2007, at 1:46 AM, hardware@doepfer.de wrote: >> I have both Doepfer and AS in my 2 portable rack cabinets (which are >> VERY nice units BTW) and there is a spacing difference in the two >> manufacturers - it is equal to half the space between two screw holes >> in the rails.
