I've just received my ribbon controller. Its great! I wouldn't hesitate recommending it to anyone looking for a controller other than a keyboard. Having 2 gates and 2 CV's on the A-198 is very useful. Using pressure control to modulate a filter is kind of like having a finger controlled wah-wah pedal! Having the 2nd pressure operated gate with threshold setting is also very handy for those wanting to trigger a secondary event at a time of their choosing ... Thanks Doepfer... there's no one else out there who really makes such interesting/useful/affordable controllers. Synthesizers are more than just VCOs, filters, envelopes etc. The human interface is just as important. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, "vcovcfvca" <vcovcfvca@...> wrote: > > Thanks David, > > Very helpful response. > > I've just ordered the a-198 ribbon controller.
