I don't know too much about the real world limitations... I discovered the clipping only recently, when mixing some percussive sounds. It took me a while to understand, what was wrong with the sound. Personally, with A-118 I tend to use only white noise, 100% "Blue" noise and 100% "Red" noise. "Random Output" is mostly unused, as I don't like its character. I don't have either of those modules, but in earlier thread someone wrote about A-136: It can do rectifying, but not very conveniently, as the knob settings need to very precise and the input signal needs to be attenuated (if I remember correctly).
