The audio processing circuits of the A-125 and the M-172 are nearly the
same. They use both a six stage phase shifter with FETs as voltage
controlled resistors. Even the feedback circuits is the same (positive
feedback from stage 6 to input) Though I never had an M-172 for comparison
available but I expect that they sound very similar.
