I play my theremin with A110 to which I added the linear FM-option as 
described in http://www.doepfer.de/a110_tec.htm with DC-coupling (I left 
away C11). It is MUCH easier to play for a beginner, but a person who 
knows to play theremin complained about the linear response. The 
original theremins have a non linear (but not exponential) response.
