Doepfer

Hi Bakis, 

I've seen the TKB concept page at Doepfer and agree that the 
separate controller module looks great, but I was thinking that 
perhaps the complexity of the system may be holding its development 
back and was just wondering if there may be a place for a simplified 
option. 

Also, the full TKB system with controller may become a little 
expensive for some people and there may well be a market for a 
cheaper/ more basic version. 

It wouldn't necessarily have to replace the existing TKB concept. 
ie: It could coexist alongside the more elaborate TKB. (Just as 
Doepfer has developed two ribbon controller options in recent years 
and also has the 2 different step sequencer options - all are unique 
products that offer different options to users). 

I'm sure that there are others out there with their own personal 
wishlists. A major one of mine would be a more tactile interface 
with larger touchpads in a configuration that is less keyboard-y, so 
that I could approach it more like a percussion instrument or UFO 
control panel! But again I digress and probably detract from the 
original focus of this discussion... so, I'll stop now!

In the end I'll be happy to see anything new that appears.
