OK this may be starting a rather pointless discussion, but who cares how Doepfer modules look? They work. Some companies may have cooler knobs and creative names for their modules like Livewire, but the Doepfer stuff is affordable, does what it is supposed to do and has the biggest selection of products in the EuroRack format. And what's so "old fashioned" and great about a modular being black and white? Lots of great classic modulars used other colors in the panel designs. I don't know I don't want to offend any one but owning a small modular set up made up of mostly Doepfer modules has afforded me a wonderful sonic pallet to work from for my music. Just some thoughts on the matter....
