Doepfer

Doepfer uses 3mm (mini) phonejacks, not banana's.

Not really compatible, hardware-wise. Two different beasts...

Don't know the electrical specs of the Serge systems,
but I'd look seriously into the gate/trigger voltages
before hooking both up.
Most current modulars are electrically compatible
(their CV/audio signals, and gates mostly too),
but not always 100%.

Often not a real problem, but be careful in some instances.

MetalBox, Cynthia and ModCan A series all use banana jacks,
and are more or less compatible with Serge. Buchla too...

I guess our list moderator (Bakis) can tell you all about this,
since he owns all of the modules of all of the systems... ;-)


Personally, when thinking about crossbreeding Doepfer with
othe modulars, Serge is not the first system coming to my mind...


On a sidenote:
I've been working on a complete list/database of current
modular systems compatibilities (both mechanical and electrical),
but didn't finish it yet... Maybe one day... Need some help here too.
