Re: [Doepfer_a100] Re: Korg MS20 to control doepfer synths?

2008-07-12 by Bakis Sirros

i do not remember if i have tried that, (back when i had an MS20), but the A165 should convert between the inverse triggers outs of the ms20 and the gate inputs of the a100...
right?
(as the A165 is a voltage inverter and offset gen in order to invert gates/triggers)

apart from its +/- function too...

The Hz/Oct to V/Oct VCA trick is pretty interesting. I'll have to try
it! But one thing that hasn't been addressed yet: the MS-20 has an
S-Trigger (ala Moog, it shorts to ground), while the A-100 is Gate.
Has anyone made a trigger to gate converter?

Unfortunately, it's a LOT easier to control your MS-20 with
exponential gear. Use the external signal processor to convert the
gate to a trigger; plug the pitch CV into the "total" jack insted of
the KBD CV in, bias with the pitch wheel, and you're set! Check this
page for great MS-20 tips:
