There is a midi learning procedure. Check the manual on the Doepfer website. It seemed complicated to me at first, but now after doing it a few times it is easy. Your keyboard probably isn't transmitting on the midi channel the A-190 is set to. This brings up a minor A-190 problem I am having. Mine doesn't seem to hold the midi channel. It will change when powered off. I haven't tested enough to figure out if it is every time it is powered off or if it always reverts to the same channel. I just switch to the midi learning mode and it picks up the channel and works fine.
