... hi bakis, before you go out and buy the MCV24, check out the Encore Electronics Expressiont 2 that will be released very soon. it uses 16 bit dac's for all of the cv outputs. it has more lfo's and modulation possibilities. the Expressionist 2 will be a smaller version with different assignable channels. i use the Expressionist 1 and have nothing but praise for the unit.i use an MPC connected to the Expressionist to do those long notes which none of the Doepfer boxes can do. it is very tight and precise. the lfo's are are a charm to work with and you can use the Expressionist to do Volts/hz and S-trig for yamaha, Korg and Moog. it also has a variable rate dyn sync output for 24 ppq and 48 ppq clock speeds.it seems to be the midi2cv of choice among the users of big systems , i.e Serge, MOTM etc. here is the url. http://www.encoreelectronics.com/cont_expres.html the manual url is at this url. http://www.encoreelectronics.com/exp01.pdf they have one coolest and most functional modules designed in quite some time. the Universal Event Generator. The UEG can be used as an envelope generator, a complex LFO, or as a step sequencer. i know it won't fit in a Doepfer rack but you could buy or make a rack. the bonus is you could also buy the forthcoming Frequency Shifter, some Oakley Systems' Wavefolder or MOTM's new CS80 inspired filter, etc. ther CS80 filter will give you a nice sound shaping quality to do the pads you are talking about. to hear what i am refering to, listen to Brian Eno's track " Julie with..." on the Before and After Science album to get to the jist of it. a very strong album. just more arsenal to bolster your modular capabilities. hope this helps, they are worthy options to think about. regards, RM --- In Doepfer_a100@y..., bakis Sirros <synth_freak_2000@y...> wrote: > hi josef, > yes i have an idea!...just wait till i make my a100 > 4-voice polyphonic!(when i buy the doepfer mcv24),then > i'll sent some pads pathes. > bakis. > > > --- modularplanet <webmaster@m...> wrote: > > Hi list, > > > > there is only one (!) patch in the synth-pad area of > > the > > Modular-Planet :-( > > > > Do you have any ideas or suggestions? > > > > Josef > > > > ------------------- > > www.Modular-Planet.de > > > > > > > ===== > synthfreak(parallel worlds) > athens-greece > [Doepfer_a100] group owner-moderator > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Yahoo! - Official partner of 2002 FIFA World Cup > http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com
