Would it be possible to get more rows and columns in, or to keep the size down using the type of potentiometer that they use in the Zvex Ooh-Wah and Seek-Wah? I know that smaller knobs are more fiddly, but with 'set and forget' stuff, it could be useful... If not, then I definitely prefer the 4x4 layout. It seems to be a lot clearer and intuitive. --- In Doepfer_a100@yahoogroups.com, <yahoo@...> wrote: > > > hello list! > > > > thanks for this information! i am looking forward a matrix mixer to > > integrate it in my modular live setup :) > > > > imo a 4x4 matrix is for most applications sufficient (eg mixing the > > outs of the quad modules or 2 dual modules...). > > > > hence, it would be more convenient to use a slightly modified front > > panel layout: > > i suggest a "matrix design" of the ins and outs, ie using the inputs > > on the left and the outputs on the bottom (fifth row). alternatively, > > the ins can be placed on the bottom (or top) row and the outs on the > > right, depending on whether the switches for polarity (next to the > > outs) fit in a vertical or horizontal line... > > it would be cheaper (16 instead of 25 pots) and in particular much > > more clear in a live context and more compact (i think 20te will do it)... > > > > any further suggestions?! > > > > kind regards, > > andreas > > Please look at the revised page of the A-138m.
