What you are describing is great, and would constitute an ASR, but it
doesn't match the factory description:

"The signal at the common T&H input is connected to the addressed T&H
output. As soon as a new output is addressed the last voltage is
stored at the output (Track&Hold function)."

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
