The main question to Chris Assall will be, how quick the buffer content 
is handled and then cleared.

I don't think you will be able to cause an overflow, if the midi-port 
contains only the noteinfos for the A-100, MIDI-Clock and the 
Controllers for the MTV16. But other info should be avoided.
