It's true that several complex modules have been added to the A-100 series over the last couple of years, but at the same time some very simple and basic modules have been added to the range - like the trigger combiner, manual trigger, offset generator and so on. Sorry if this next section sounds a little bit too much like that teacher we all loved to hate. Anyway, even though I would actually like to see a simple and cheap VCO, there's a very good reason this might not happen. The cost of developing a new module dictates that only modules that have a good chance of turning out a profit will actually be developed - and a new, simpler and cheaper VCO would compete directly with the A-110 so chances are that each unit sold would mean close to one less A-110 sold, thus cutting into Doepfers profit margins. Sure, someone might buy 3 of the simpler VCO's instead of two A-110's but Doepfers profit on that sale probably wouldn't be much higher, so I can't see where the extra sales that should cover the development costs would come from. Finally, one of the joys of Euro format modulars like the A-100 is that you can mix and match modules, so you may want to have a look at the MFB Triple VCO - it looks mighty good at a very affordable price, but I must admit that I haven't bought one yet so can't comment on how well it works in actual use. Take a look at http://www.mfberlin.de/Produkte/Module/OSC-02/OSC-02e/osc-02e.html Happy patching, Silas On Tue, May 19, 2009 at 1:16 AM, pfichoux <pfichoux@yahoo.com> wrote: > > > Dear Mr Doepfer, > > I'd like to see a low cost VCO designed specifically for lin fm.
