Nice to read you Silas. About big modules, I do agree with you, most of Doepfer modules are thin. A-111-5 wasn't a good example because it's a synth on it's own. The worst examples I have in mind are ZO and AFG. So many features you cannot use all together unless you want to make noise with a several hundreds Euros/Dollars module. I do request because I don't understand why I have to pay more than 200 Euros for lin fm (I'd rather buy a DX-7 or an FM-8 plug-in). Furthermore, if Doepfer's catalogue is packed with filters*, there aren't so many VCO... Last, I would like to say that even with 8HP modules, I rarely use all the 5 inputs and 5 knobs at the same time.
