Hello Rich did you ever try to feed your external audio signal directly to a standard module like e.g. A130 VCA or A138 Mixer? How does the A100 signal compare to the original signal there? The A138 should be the best possible signal an A100 can produce with your audio. The A130 should provide the average possible signal quality. Maybe you expect too much from a modular system like the Doepfer A100. And still the output impendance of your external signal might cause the trouble. What exactly is the source of your external audio - I mean, to which device belongs the socket which is connected to the input of the A100? Has anyone got one and tried it on line (or headphone) level audio? Or is there a module from another euro-manufacturer that might work better?
