hi florian,

i agree with you about the 3 cem filters is enough, but none of them
offer the available poles, various modes and combinations thereof. i
like Oberheim's application and use in the Matrix 12. i would love to
have such a filter for sound shaping. remember, there is no ext.
audio in for the Matrix 12 or Expander, someone had a audio in kit
for the expander, but the mod and info is nowhere to be found. it
would be nice if doepfer added new twists to that design like having
all the poles and modes available on the pcb so you can have an
expander module with all the outputs available at once. or a vc input
to scan through all the outs and vc of the resonance as well.

i love the sound of the Sem filter and i think this would be a great
addition to the A100. maybe there should be a poll on this one. i
have never heard or used the Formant and would like to hear it. do
you have any examples or mp3's of the formant? could you please give
us a description?
