If you have the schematics of the VCO-110 you will find a capacitor inline
in the Linear FM Input. Something like that:

                    capacitor
                   /
Input jack o------||---+-----to linear mod In of CEM 3340
                       |
                       |
                       -
                      | |
                      | | <...Resistor
                      | |
                       -
                       |
                       |
                      Ground
                       


This capacitor will let through AC but will stop DC. This is necessary,
since a possible DC-offset of a modulation signal would detune the VCO
instead of adding only a fast vibrato. Your Sequencer sends out only DC...
