It may work if you amplify the microphone signal until it distorts a bit and if you sing or whistle very "clean" without excessive envelope (like short "attack" and "release", full "sustain" of an ADSR). But during the "attack" and "release" state artifacts may occur. We are still working on a pitch-to-CV/Midi/USB converter module that could be used for this application (A-195-1). But I have no idea when it will be available. The mentioned attack and release states as well and noisy or dirty sounds are still are making problems (e.g. plucking of a string) because there is no clean pitch available.
