Pay attention that the right power supply is used (9V AC output). A higher
voltage (e.g. 12V AC or 15V AC) will damage the capacitors as there is an
internal voltage doubler to obtain the required 12V. I don't think that
excessive current load of the modules damaged the capacitors.
