Dear Florian, Thanks for raising the alarm when you spotted something dangerous, or thought so at least. Better safe than sorry! All I did was following the suggestion to insert a connector (e.g. XLR) as shown on page 2 of the manual DIY Kit #1 + 2 Installation guide (Version 2, from May 2008).
